Well today I had my latest piece of coursework marked for English and it's another 'A'! This makes it 3/3! YAY! I was told it is my best piece of English coursework yet! I just hope the 'A's continue.

Well, today I've not been very well at all, though I was okay for school. I've finished 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes' by Cassandra Clare, so I'm just waiting for the last book (#3). It's out later this month. The series a bit strange and disturbing, but surprisingly good. I really like it! So here are the books I've read recently, plus what I'm going to read now: Hey everyone! I have not been very well today, but oh well! I have used to 'bases' to shade in myself, purely to see if I could do it and because I find graphic art great fun thing to do. So here are the two that I have done and I'm very proud of them. Hi people! Well, not much happened today. Just school, in which I turned out another fantastic piece of English work, then went for a walk around the area after school, and have just been reading 'The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones' by Cassandra Clare. For my Media GCSE work I've got to come up with an idea for a feature-length film and write the summary, do the character profiles, draw the characters and create a story board. I am enjoying it immensely! I love Media just as much as I love English, probably because Media has a lot in common with English as in the writing and the creative ideas? English is my strongest subject though. Here is a video that some of my friends did. It is about how incredible the Lord is, that he sticks with you no matter what. He is always there for you, even if you are distracted or have turned away from Him. He is there fighting for you and protecting you. It is most incredibly moving! The Lord has done some of the most incredible things for myself, my family and my friends. There are no words great enough to describe our God. One of my favourite songs is 'Everlasting God' by Lincoln Brewster. It has lyrics from this passage in the Bible. This is one of my favourite pieces from the Bible and at the end of the song, a little girl reads it out. It is incredibly moving! Well, as I have mentioned, I adore reading! So... lately I went with my friends to see 'Twilight' at the cinemas. I actually had never heard of it before and I had no idea it was based on a book until my friends were talking about it afterwards. SHOCK! I know! Anyway, as soon as we came out of the cinema I was like "I SO HAVE TO READ THE BOOK!" so we went across to Borders and a few days later I went and bought them. I started reading 'Twilight' on a long train journey and couldn't put it down. As soon as I woke up I read, as soon as I came home from school; I read. I finished 'Twilight' quickly and absolutely LOVED it!!! I moved straight on to 'New Moon'. It became a bit depressing when Edward changed after Bella's disastrous birthday party, but it was still fantastic! I then went straight on to 'Eclipse' and Jacob began getting on my nerves, and continued straight to 'Breaking Dawn'. Book 1 was fantastic, In Book 2 things were getting rather weird but very good, in Book 3 was fantastic but Jacob was really getting on my nerves. I finished the series in just under 2 weeks. I learnt everything I could about the Twilight saga, searched all over the internet about it, learnt about Stephanie Meyer etc. So what did I do as soon as finished 'Breaking Dawn'? Why, I picked 'Twilight' up again! I read the books through for a second time! As soon as I finished it again, I was dying to pick Twilight up yet again!!! Though Mum said that I should try to pick up the 2 new books I'd bought to read after Twilight. I have NEVER been able to read a book through that I read less than 3 years before, no matter how I loved it! So I am so shocked that I can read and read and read Twilight over and over again and not think "I'll pick it up again in about 4 years once I've forgotten some of the stories". Now I am reading 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones' by Cassandra Clare and though I am really enjoying it, I can't keep Twilight out of my head and am going to read the Twilight series though again before I go on to the second book of in the 'The Mortal Instruments' and then I'll probably read Twilight AGAIN! Call me crazy or/and obsessed, but I adore the Twilight series! Hello everyone. Well, this is the first post in my journal. I don't really know what to write so I'll just write a bit about me. Well, I am a Christian (WOOOOOO!). I love going to Soul Survivor, but I don't know if I can go this year!!! I'm praying I can though. I have amazing stories and memories of God doing the most incredible things around me for as long as I can remember, thanks to my Dad's and friends' prayers and help! I really could go of forever talking about the Lord! I love animals, especially horses; they are the most wonderful creatures. I love to write poetry and prose, so I might post some on here sometime. I hate gossipers; they can ruin people's lives and it's not nice! Trust me, I know. I am easy to get along with and am a very chilled out person who loves to make people laugh by being a bit crazy sometimes (it's quite funny really! -especially once I'll had a Red Bull O.o lol). I love to go out with my friends, we have a great time. When I don't have a mad half an hour, I'm just a down-to-earth, average girl who loves her rock music; I often get called a rock chick by my family and friends. I am from the UK, I am over 1/2 Welsh, part English and part Scottish and, well... what else can I say. There's so much more, but I am a little tired so I shall leave it there. It's lovely to be on Live Journal, |
